Indivisible Kaua’i

Kaua’i Indivisible was formed to help island residents take concrete, coordinated actions to ensure our elected officials fight for our priorities and values: respect, integrity, compassion, civil rights, religious tolerance, equal treatment, economic fairness, environmental stewardship, strong public education, affordable healthcare, science-based policymaking, and full democratic representation.

Indivisible Kaua’i was started by Lee Anne after Donald Trump was inaugurated.   She held the first meeting at a restaurant in Kalaheo and over 50 people showed up!  Indivisible Kaua’i participated in the first Women’s March and many other rallies and marches throughout the Trump years in the White House including Impeach Trump, Show Us Your Taxes, Families Belong Together, Women’s Rights, Science and Gun Safety marches.

In 2021 Margie took the reigns of the group, along with Julie,  and grew the group into a national Blue Wave powerhouse postcarding team, effectively postcarding through every major election and contributing to our statewide effort to win back the House, Senate and keep the White House.

Indivisible Kaua’i partners with Moms Demand Action, the YMCA and many local groups.

On the 2nd Anniversary of the Dobbs decision being overturned by SCOTUS, Kauai Indivisible held a sign waving rally along with Kauai YWCA and Planned Parenthood.

There’s nothing like standing on a busy road to share important messages. Additionally, it’s healthy to come together as a community and support each other.

We are in the fight of our generation to save Democracy. Throughout the world we have dictators trying to take over and now we, the United States, has an unfit MAGA candidate running for office who said on Day One he would be a dictator. Trump is proud to claim responsibility for appointing the Supreme Court justices that he knew would support overturning Roe v. Wade. It’s a lie that he wants to leave it up to the states. In two years look what has happened to Women’s health care! If we don’t save Democracy by electing Kamala Harris, they will come for our rights and take away Women’s health care rights across the nation. Rise up! Resist! Help the women in the red states get their freedoms back!

June 15, 2024 – Kauai Indivisible participated to show support for the community and promote what we are about and getting people registered to vote and also join our team!

The decorating team picked plumeria for days and strung nearly 200 feet of lei to decorate the booth.  We had the most fragrant booth at the event.  We teamed up with Kauai Democrats to support getting people registered to vote!  We are promoting our Blue Wave, Post Cards to Voters in Swing States…. We meet every Saturday in Lihue, please join us or ask us about hosting your own party.  We will assist you.  It is all hands on deck time… have to get Kamala elected and it is up to each and every one of us to save our loved Democracy and defeat the MAGA agenda!
