Mahalo nui loa to the 800+ Hawai‘i volunteers who wrote, texted, called, and knocked on doors since 2017 to register and turn out left-leaning voters in swing states and districts. We help Democrats win elections so we can rebuild democracy and defeat the Trump agenda.
Throughout 2025, Democrats outperformed in special elections, in Virginia, and in California.
Virginia now is a blue trifecta state with first female governor and 64 to 36 Democratic majority in state house (flipped 13 red state house districts blue). Now we have one more state which can resist the harmful federal policies and fight back.
California proposition 50 (which counters Texas’ redistricting) passed with 64.6% of the votes. CA Prop 50 will help us flip the U.S. House in 2026.
Voters favored Democratic candidates by 17% on average in 2025 special elections, compared to 2024. Just to recap..
- Trump won TN07 by 22%, Republican won by 9% in 2025
- Trump won FL01 by 37%, Republican won by 15% in 2025
- Trump won FL06 by 14%, Republican won by 14% in 2025 (yes exception)
- Harris won AZ07 by 22%, Democrat won by 40% in 2025
- Harris won VA11 by 34%, Democrat won by 50% in 2025
- Harris won TX18 by 31%, Democrats won by 66% in 2025
Then, there was a win by Zohran Mamdani and the 100,000+ volunteers who worked on his campaign. Mamdani is New York’s first Muslim and Asian American mayor.
Mahalo nui to volunteers in Hawaii who called, texted and wrote 83K postcards in 2025 to Virginia, California, Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Tennesse. Research shows handwritten postcards increase Democratic turnout by 1.3%… those of you in marketing know this is a good ROI.
