INDIVISIBLE WEST O‘AHU
ABOUT US
We are a part of Indivisible, a national grassroots movement formed in December 2016 to defeat the Trump agenda of racism, misogyny, and authoritarianism. Indivisible boasts a nationwide network of thousands of local groups across the US, representing over a million people. We engage with our elected officials at all levels of government to fight for progressive policies, democratic values, and a healthy and sustainable Hawaiʻi. Indivisible West Oʻahu is the latest chapter in the Indivisible Hawaiʻi Statewide Network. Although all who agree with Indivisible’s principles are welcome, we are primarily focused on providing opportunities for interested activists living in zip code areas 96706, 96707, 96792 and 96797. Geographically this includes Mākaha, Waiʻanae, Māʻili, Nānākuli, Ko Olina, Kapolei, ʻEwa, ʻEwa Beach, and Waipahu. We recently held a successful rally in Kapolei for No Kings and We Say No Dictators day and look forward to taking many more actions.

OUR 2025 GOALS
Our near-term goals are to prevent the imminent loss of the ACA subsidies and Medicaid coverage for the thousands of Hawaii residents who are dependent on them, the subsequent rise in everyone’s healthcare premiums, and the closure of nursing homes and rural hospitals. We work to reverse cuts to VA healthcare that our veterans deserve. Working families are struggling with the rising cost of housing, food and other goods. We work with our national and local politicians and other activist groups to support legislation that will help families make ends meet. We also cooperate with other activist groups to protect the rights of immigrants and the LGBTQIA+ community and most importantly to restore and preserve our democracy.
