Gun Violence Protective Orders (GVPOs) allow courts to temporarily remove firearms from people who pose a danger to themselves or others. They effectively help to prevent suicide and domestic violence homicides. But protective orders only work if they are consistently and fully enforced. We support measures that strengthen enforcement, close procedural gaps, and ensure those at risk are protected.
