Prohibit Assault Firearms

← Public Policy

Assault-style weapons are designed to cause maximum harm in minimum time. They have no legitimate civilian defense purpose, yet they are the weapon of choice in mass shootings across the country. Hawaiʻi has an opportunity to ban their sale and possession at the state level and protect its residents from the scale of violence these weapons make possible.
