In this resource

The Kona Indivisible chapter (KIND in short) organizes regular postcarding "parties" at different locations weekly. These get-togethers are a great way to make friends and make a difference at the same time.

You can find out more about postcarding on this page, and find postcarding events on this page; here's what you need to know about Kona Indivisible postcarding events.

What to bring to a KIND postcarding party

  • We provide postcards, voter lists, scripts, and instructions
  • You bring stamps, your writing muscle, and your favorite pencil

We always appreciate a generous donation of postcard stamps (or money towards postage). This allows postcard writers with less financial capacity to join and help get out the vote.

Most of our postcarding events take place at local businesses; please consider supporting them by buying something to eat or drink.

Postcarding from home

Can't make it to our postcard parties? No worries, we've got you covered. Pick up a postcard packet at one of our postcard hubs and write at home.

  • A postcard packet includes postcards, script, mailing instructions, and addresses. You will need to provide your own postcard stamps.
  • To order, use the Postcard Packet Order Form and choose the number of postcards you want;
  • You can pick up your postcard packet at Iolani Kona (top of Lako Street) or Upper Palisades (Kona). You'll get an email when your postcard packet is ready for pickup.

If you have your own postcards and only need instructions and voter addresses, you can use that same form but choose "names only". You'll then receive an email with voter list, instructions, and script.

Does postcarding actually work?

Postcarding is a popular tactic to motivate others to vote. But how effective is it really?
